Brain site reacts to expressions of emotion
They found a part of the brain that reacts specifically to facial and vocal expressions of emotion, not one or the other. The posterior superior temporal sulcus lights up when test subjects see photos of people with fearful expressions and fearful vocal sounds but not when shown neutral faces and neutral sounds.
